EN: This sculpture is located in the northern part of the cemetery of Olten. It consists of two parts, the bronze statue of the Genius flying over the fire god, which is carved out of a stone block.

The sculpture was created by Jakob Probst (1880-1966), it was apparently created in the 1950s, I could not find more accurate informations.

Genius (from Wikipedia): "In Roman religion, the genius (plural genii) is the individual instance of a general divine nature that is present in every individual person, place, or thing. Much like a guardian angel, the genius would follow each man from the hour of his birth until the day he died."

The fire god is not clearly identifiable, there were fire deities in many religions of antiquity.
