RECOVERY NOTE BY NORTH CAROLINA GEODETIC SURVEY 1980 IN ABERDEEN. 1.05 MILES SOUTH ALONG U.S. 1 FROM JUNCTION WITH U.S. 15-501 AND N.C. 211 SOUTH OF SOUTHERN PINES, AT INTERSECTION WITH CHAPIN ROAD, AT NORTHEAST END OF MIDDLE SCHOOL GROUNDS AND APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET SOUTHEAST OF ABERDEEN CITY WATER TANK, 26.3 FEET NORTHWEST OF CENTERLINE OF SOUTHBOUND LANES, 75.7 FEET SOUTHWEST OF STREET MARKER, 28.9 FEET NORTH OF TOP OF FIRE HYDRANT, 44.7 FEET SOUTHEAST OF 10 INCH PINE WITH REFERENCE TAG, 36.8 FEET NORTH OF POWER POLE 4387 WITH REFERENCE TAG AND LIGHT AND 13.8 FEET SOUTHEAST OF EAST END OF METAL FENCE POST. THE MARK IS 0.5 FT ABOVE HIGHWAY.
