Früher, und zwar bis 1972, war das Postamt mitten in Bad Homburg. Oben unter dem Dach steht noch die Bezeichnung "Altes Postamt". Heute befindet sich ein Einkaufsgeschäft im Gebäude.
Ein Schild am Gebäude erinnert an die frühere Funktion mit folgendem Text:
Altes Postamt, erbaut 1893 als
kaiserliches Reichspostgebäude,
diente es bis 1972 als Postamt.
