It is easy not to know of Clayburn. Today it appears on maps as just another housing development in the growing city of Abbotsford, but one-hundred years ago it was bustling centre of brick manufacturing in the Fraser Valley.

With bricks being sold as far as Mexico and Hawaii, its products have been seen by many people. Either as a building material or, as the speciality of the plant, fireclay bricks that lined chimneys.

The museum is located in the basement of the 1907 Clayburn Schoolhouse and using dioramas, artifacts, and the stories of Cyril Holbrow it tells the story of Clayburn and the surrounding area.

Cyril is in his 90s and with the exception of serving in the Second World War has lived is whole life in Clayburn. He is the community's historian and champions for the community to preserved.
