The zoo is located on the Shoalhaven River & has a backdrop of tall sandstone cliffs. The animals are behind enclosures such as glass for snakes, wire for monkeys & fences for mammals such as the water buffalo. There are two salt water crocodiles with the larger male gaining notoriety when it latched onto its keeper's hand during a feeding demonstration last year. Fortunately the keeper was able to get free otherwise may well have met his demise.
The Zoo also has a Trees Adventure where participants walk between trees over various challenges. There is a separate fee for this activity which has 70 challenges & 15 Flying Foxes (Zip Lines).
