It also happened that lunch time was fast approaching and B was becoming in need of sustenance. When she realized that we were beside a Thai Food outlet, she made a beeline for it while K wandered off to shoot some pix.
Thai 2 Go advertised itself as being the purveyors of the
World's Best Drunken Noodles, phat khi mao, an invitation which B could not resist. We noticed on Google Street View today that not only is that sign not in place, but that the place has been painted, and is now a brilliant white with red trim. Perhaps they took the sign down to paint and hadn't yet replaced it when the Google car passed by.
I can't actually say that they were the
Best in the World, as I'd never before eaten Drunken Noodles, but they certainly were world class!!!
Thai 2 Go is in a tiny little building with room for not much more than the kitchen. Though their major business is takeout, they have a pair of small tables at the front, as well as a counter which will seat as many as six in a pinch. It's operated by a Thai family whose kids were eating at the tables when we stopped by so we availed ourselves of the counter and talked to a nice couple who were also visiting Bangor at the time.
Thai 2 Go has no online presence, but their
large and varied menu has been posted online.
