"In the summer of 1996, more than 200 worshipers gathered at that same location. Once again, the building was dedicated and a first service was held.

The ceremony took place on the birthday of Buddha, and on that day the former Prince of Peace Lutheran Church building became Minh-Dang-Quang Buddhist Temple of the International Sangha Bhikshu Buddhist Association.

The building was designed by architect John Stef of Scranton, Pa. Of mid-century modern style, the main structure is pentagonal in shape. Continuous wall-to-wall windows allow natural lighting to illuminate the interior of the worship area."
