Skull Rock can best be viewed as you leave the valley. It is a few metres off the side of the road just as you start the steep ascent. You can park your car on the opposite side of the road & walk up the embankment to view it closely or catch it in your car's headlights. Locals have painted eyes in reflective green paint in its eye sockets.
The road is a mixture of gravel & bitumen with the steep section leading down into the valley sealed. If driving at night expect to see kangaroos so drive carefully.
