Eppegem is a railway station in the town of Eppegem, Flemish Brabant, Belgium. The station opened on 1 March 1865 on the Lines 25 and 27. The train services are operated by National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS).
On January 20, 1986 drove an empty coal train (train Z38206 Clabecq Antwerp ) with the lead locomotive 5117 in the back of a steel train (train E27270 Châtelineau -Antwerp) with the lead locomotive in 2355 , which drove slowly because of approaching the split in Weerde . The 5117 derailed after the collision and overturned on the platform of railway station. This is a nose , and a part of the chassis was very badly damaged . The 5117 was transported to Schaerbeek to be scrapped
