This plaque depicts a bugle and some doves and reads:

"W dniu 3 lipca 1901 roku pelniac sluzbe na wysokosciach Wiezy Mariackiej odszedl do wiecznosci strazak - hejnalista Antoni Dolega."

which Google translates as:

"On 3 July 1901 years on duty in the highest tower of St. Mary went to eternity firefighter - bugle call player Anthony Dolega."

This website (visit link) informs us that a bugle is blown every hour from St. Mary's Tower and that this practice has now continued for over 600 years. It would appear that Mr. Dolega was one of these bugle players as well as a firefighter. Unfortunately no additional information could be found online about the individual.
