The Historic Royal Theater in Macon MO was built in 1889 and opened as the Johnson Opera House. It was overtime also known as the Logan Theatre, the Blees Theatre and the Royal Theatre. In 1959 when it was converted to a movie theatre it was called the Macon Theatre. It was renovated in the 1990's and is now live theatre. It remains open today.
