According to her
FindAGrave entry Eliza
Buzzard Woodall was the person who founded the chapel here in 1872 when she was 41 years old. We are not given the month and day, only the year, of her birth: 1831. An ancestry.com article referenced in the FindAGrave entry says that she died on 26 July 1935 at 104 years old. She was probably the sister of John Buzzard. She married L. B. Woodall. She raised 3 children.
Her indian name was Ah Wo Te. Another interesting note from the ancestry.com entry is that she "brought Charley Hensley to Muskogee as interpreter in 1849 over the Trail of Tears." That was when she was 18 years old.
