This grassy median stretches from NW Orchard Ave to SW Washington Way. OSU has the distinction of being one of only two colleges in the United States to be registered as a National Historic District.

Located on the campus of Oregon State University is a grassy median that expands from north to south and divides SW 30th Street. This median contains large, established trees and even a large, metal sculpture located on the north end. The National Register of Historic Places Registration Form lists this landscaped area as being constructed in 1930 and is listed as site #OS-004. It is a contributing open area as part of the Oregon State University National Historic District.
