From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 12.0 miles to the reference monument on the left, about 50' SW from the centerline of the road.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe; under 3" of duff when found

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There is a U-post which bears SW, 16" distant. Found two trees with old blazes, both with yellow BEARING TREE tags. The nearer, a ponderosa pine, also has a LOCATION POSTER nailed on it The reference monument bears S17.5°W, 35 links distant from the true quarter corner, the monument for which is 12" below grade on the shoulder of US20.
