The brick and iron Glen Forrest church was originally built as a Baptist church. Its foundation stone was laid on 30th January 1905, but in 1910 the church was bought by the Methodists and they held regular services until 1978 when the Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational churchs joined together to form the Uniting Church in Australia.
