Die Feuer- und Rettungswache 40 am Frankfurter Osthafen wurde im September 2003 bezogen. Neben Löschfahrzeugen wird ein Rettungswagen Deutsches Rotes Kreuzes an diesem Standort vorgehalten. Ebenso ist die Wache für den Wasserrettungsdienst zuständig. Für die notwendigen Übungen steht den Tauchern ein Übungsturm auf der Wache zur Verfügung.

The fire and rescue station 40 at Frankfurt's Osthafen was put into service in September 2003. In addition to fire fighting vehicles, an ambulance of the Red Cross is stationed at this location. The station is also responsible for the water rescue service. For the necessary exercises of the divers is a training tower available at the station.
