The Memorial Hall was erected as a dedication to the memory of the soldiers and sailors of the area who fought in World War One. There are two foundation stones for the hall, one was laid by the Governor of Western Australia, Sir William Campion and a second by Mr M. Winfield,on the 21st March 1925
