The Swan Hill Methodist Church was established in 1885 and the original church of timber and iron was opened in 1886. The foundation stone of the existing brick church was laid on 18th of March 1918 and opened on the 20th of October. In 1979 the Methodist, Congregational and Presbyterian churches joined to become the Uniting Church in Australia .
