The SNB moved to a new facility at corner of Main and Church in the mid 80's. North Carolina Farm Bureau move from their original office site on Cronly Street to the old SNB building. The agent for NCFB was housed there for about 5 years. Once again the bank building was empty. Richmond Community College had received the old US Post Office facility for use for its continuing ed program. Outgrowing this facility quickly, the college acquired the former bank building for its literacy center.
