After Hurricane Ike hit Galveston September 13, 2008, many trees were left damaged or dead. Instead of chopping all of the dead trees down, some artists have sculpted a wide variety of tree sculptures throughout the city.

I first visited in 201l. Came back again in 2015. Found that many of the sculptures had not been maintained. They need some oil and a coat of sealer to protect them before mother nature destroys this beautiful art.

Coordinates given are for the Tin Man and Toto sculpture. See link for information on all of them.
