Attached to the side of the municipal parking garage, this curtain of water cascades down to a pool in a small hidden park. The effect is to cool the immediate area and create a moist microclimate in the harsh desert environment. The water emerges from under a polished metal panel, dropping approximately 15 feet to a concrete pool below. Above the fountain, the metal panel actually covers the cooling tower for the Chandler City council offices. The water thus serves the dual purpose of cooling the building and cooling passersby in the park. The sides of the fountain are sheathed with polished stone sections.
