This building first opened as a First Union Bank. Another bank company was bought out by First Union, who had a larger facility in a better location.

The smaller branch office was closed and the larger building became the presence for First Union. A finance company moved into the old bank and stayed there for a few years then moved to another site. Currently, the old bank is an Enterprise Car Rental site.
