The paintwork of the box is dull but otherwise in reasonable condition. The collection plate is missing but the smaller plate indicating what day the next collection will be made is present and showing the correct day. The manufacturer's name cannot be identified due to years of overpainting. The box appears to be in use as mail could be seen through the slit that is normally covered by the collection plate.
