It opened as a movie theater in 1942. The first one was destroyed by fire. After being re-built, a second fire started in the kitchen, when it was a catfish restaurant in the 80's. In 2010 it opened as a live venue for bands. Friday the music starts at 6 p.m. It's $15 for three bands and the Texan doesn't serve food, just drinks.
