In 2015 this was a brand new station, a recent addition to the transportation network in Shiraz, in a time the metro network was being finished in the city.
Unfortunately - despite plans to extend the railway - the station is far out of the city boundaries, about 25 km. There are buses going nearby but still about 2 km short. A taxi will cost about 250.000 Rials.
This station operates as an airport, with documents control, security check, boarding gates, etc. There are all needed facilities inside. Comfortable, modern.
