These miniature Grain Elevators are situated beside of the Tourist Information Center located on TransCanada Highway 1, near the entrance of the town of Grenfell, Saskatchewan, Canada.
An interesting fact, the building of the center is shaped as a scale down grain elevator, a typical construction in the Prairies. The center also figure in the catalog of Large Canadian Roadside Attractions.
A board located nearby inform us that "these wooden replicas built by Peter Wsoskey in 2004-2005 for Saskatchewan's Centenial in 2005, represent the six elevators which set adjacent to the Canadian Pacific Railway in the town of Grenfell in 1914".
According to Wikipedia, "Grenfell (Canada 2011 Census population 1,049) is a town in Southern Saskatchewan, Canada. It is situated at the junction of Highway 47 and the Trans Canada Highway 80 miles (130 km) east of Regina, the provincial capital. It is 15 miles (24 km) south of the Qu'Appelle Valley where Crooked Lake Provincial Park (at Crooked Lake) and Bird's Point Resort (at Round Lake) are popular beach destinations in summer and are accessed by Highway 47".
