Start from the Pole Creek Trailhead which is generally SW, 12.2 miles by road from the Sisters Ranger Station. Hike a total of 1.7 miles, first on the Pole Creek Trail #4072, then southbound on the Green Lakes Trail #4070. The corner is on the left, E about 0.1 mile distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" aluminum cap on aluminum pipe in mound of stones; rising 9"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post which bears W, 3' distant. Found two trees, one a burned snag, with scribed blazes. Each has a yellow BEARING TREE tag and a 1-1/2" brass washer, stamped PLS 2396, affixed to the side center at the root crown with a magnetic nail. In addition, there are rock bearing objects, marked with red paint, in the SW and NW quadrants. Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present section corner bears S0.7°E from T16S R8-1/2E S13 24 R9E S18 19 COR, 5279' distant.
