This headstone is for "Chic" Anderson, or as his headstone states, the "World's Greatest Thoroughbred Racing Announcer". This is located north of Evansville, IN in Centenary UMC Cemetery.
Anderson was the announcer at nearby horse racing track, Dade Park (now known as Ellis Park). He also was the PA announcer at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Arlington Park in Chicago, as well as a number of other tracks. He was also employed by CBS Sports as an announcer and interviewer for Triple Crown races in the 1960s and 1970s.

Anderson was from Evansville, IN and became world reknown as the voice of thoroughbred racing. He was the PA announcer at a number of tracks and worked for CBS Sports for their national broadcasts of horse racing.
