EN: The show diary is located on the main road in Glis. During the opening times the entire manufacturing process of the cheese can be observed by the visitors. For groups also extra tours can be organized.
The diary processes exclusively milk from farmers in the region on the north slope of the Simplon mountains, each year about 850,000 liters. In the shop next to the production site apart from their own cheese also other specialties from the Upper Valais are offered, such as dried meat and wine.
The dairy has its roots in 1881, in 1963 it was registered as a production cooperative. In 2011 it was converted into a stock corporation and the following year the main production facility was relocated from Brigerberg down to the Rhone valley to be closer to the customers.
DE: Die Schaukäserei befindet sich an der Hauptstrasse in Glis. Während der Öffnungszeiten kann der ganze Herstellungsprozess des Käses von den Besuchern beobachtet werden. Für Gruppen können auch Extraführungen organisiert werden.
Die Käserei verarbeitet ausschliesslich Milch von Bauern aus der Region am Nordhang des Simplon, pro Jahr etwa 850'000 Liter. Im Laden neben der Produktion werden neben dem eigenen Käse auch andere Spezialitäten aus dem Oberwallis angeboten, wie zum Beispiel Trockenfleisch und Wein.
Die Käserei hat ihre Wurzeln im Jahr 1881, 1963 wurde sie als Produktionsgenossenschaft registriert. 2011 wurde sie in eine Aktiengesellschaft umgewandelt und verlegte ihm Jahr darauf ihre Hauptproduktionsstätte vom Brigerberg ins Rhonetal, um näher bei den Kunden zu sein.
