In 2005, the owners of Hotel Raststüb'l in Germany's Harz Mountains planted a Giant Redwood in their front yard. It ha now grown to about 20 feet. (picture below).
A few later, they planted a second one, which is pretty much the youngest sequoia tree we have ever seen. (picture right).
If you visit the hotel or the restaurant "Jägerstube" next to it, just ask the owners.
They love to show their trees.
