Phillip Talmadge Neal was born on 6 October 1932, and passed away on 5 March 2013. He served in the Air Force for 26 years, working overseas in Libya, Thailand and Germany with trips to France, Italy and Ireland. He also was stationed in Georgia, Florida, Alaska and Nevada. He attained the non-commissioned rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, he fulfilled his dream of ranching near Springdale, AR.

He was buried in the Fayetteville (Arkansas) National Cemetery. This marble bench was placed in his honor in the Holiday Island Veterans Memorial Park. The only wording on the bench is that on the edge clearly visible in the main photo.
