The Eidsvold Airstrip was developed in 1967 by the local Shire Council.
It is a grassy flat plateau on top of a hill outside the township.
If you walk to the South East of this survey marker towards the wind sock, there is a large fence post with an engraving in it which looks like it may be an old survey mark of some sort.
It would be interesting to know if this was an early form of marking survey points.
