Stezka má již svou historii. Ta první byla otevrena roku 1981 (8. cervna 2001). Trasa vedla z Pusteven a její délka byla 9 km a výškový rozdíl ciní 160 m. Na 10 zastaveních informaovala o: Zastavení 1: Úvodní tabule - Seznámení s trasou NS, Zastavení 2: Pustevny - historie, lidové stavby, Zastavení 3: Geologie a geomorfologie - horopis, geologický vývoj, jeskyne, netopýri, Zastavení 4: Radegast - socha a historie, Zastavení 5: Národní prírodní rezervace Radhošt - seznámení, Zastavení 6: Hora Radhošt - historie, kaple, sousoší Cyrila a Metodeje, Zastavení 7: Osídlení a pastevectví - valašská kolonizace, pastevectví, Zastavení 8: Flóra a fauna Radhošte, Zastavení 9: Ekologie lesa - popis zdejších lesu a význam lesa, Zastavení 10: Lesní hospodárství - zpusob hospodarení, druhová skladba.

Dnešní stezka má jinou trasu než první stezky NS Radegast. Dnes stezka vede z Pusteven až ke kapli na Radhošt. Trasa vede stále pres dva okresy (Vsetín a Nový Jicín) a katastry obcí Trojanovice, Prostrední Becva a Dolní Becva. V príštím roce (2008) bude rekonstruován úsek puvodní Naucné stezky, který vede jižním úbocím zpet na Pustevny (mezi zastavením 7-10 bývalé NS), a bude tvorit jakousi "lesnickou" vetev této NS Radegast - venovanou predevším beskydským lesum. K rekonstruované stezce bude vydán také textový pruvodce, kde najdete to, co se na panely již nevešlo.

The trail has a history. The first one was opened in 1981 (8 June 2001). The route led from Pustevny and its length is 9 km altitude difference of 160 m. The 10 stops information about: Stop 1: Introductory board - Familiarization with the route NS, Stop 2: Pustevny - history, folk architecture, Stop 3: Geology and geomorphology - orography, geological development, cave bats, Stop 4: Radegast - statue and history, Stop 5: National Nature Reserve Radhošt - introduction, stop 6 Mount Radhošt - history, chapel, sculpture Cyril and Methodius, Stop 7: Settlement and pastoralism - Wallachian colonization, pastoralism, Stop 8: Flora and Fauna Radhošt, Stop 9: Forest Ecology - a description of the forests and the importance of forests, Stop 10: Forest management - farming, species composition. Today's trail has a different route than the first trails NS Radegast. Today, the trail leads from Pustevny to the chapel on Radhošt. The route leads through two more districts (Vsetin and Novy Jicin) and cadastral municipality Trojanovice, Middle and Lower Becva Becva. The next year (2008) will be reconstructed section of the original trail, which leads across the southern flank back to Pustevny (7-10 between stopping former NS), and will form a "forestry" branch of the NS Radegast - devoted mainly Beskydy forests. The reconstructed the trail will also be given a text guide, where you will find what panels no longer fit.
