Located just east of the west entrance to Mountain Cemetery is a veterans memorial comprised of a stone monument with a small plaque monumented on top dedicated to all members of the U.S. Armed Services. Interestingly, Mountain cemetery contains the grave of Capt. William Smith, an American Revolutionary War veteran and the only known veteran from that war buried in the state of California.

The stone monument is comprised of cut rock shaped into a stone bench. There's a small bronze tablet that notes its dedication. The monument is simple but noticeable from a distance.
