The clock face is slightly convex and painted blue, with a wooden hexagon surround although the paintwork on the wooden surround is beginning to fade and has peeled-off in places. The hour and minute marks, coloured gold, are painted directly on to the clock face, with the hour marks in Roman numerals. The hands, also gold, are of a simple design.

The clock is mounted on corbels, dated 1739, on the south side of the clock tower of St Andrews Church, so it is assumed that the year relates to the clock being mounted.
