Banks Rocks trig sits high and proud over the Avon River valley south of Gloucester. Unfortunately it overlooks some dirty-looking open-cut coal mines. So, don't approach from the western side. Official Code: TS725
Waymark Code: WMPXNB
Location: New South Wales, Australia

I had seen the actual trig post and vanes from a distance of about 2 km a year before being able to work out the way of getting there, so it was nice to be able to find a trig that had been published some 5 years before on the GCA site. (

Be sure to check-in with the property owner to the NNE, they have been there a couple of times (turn off Waukivory Road at property #130, closing the gate after you; then go past the first house, to where there is a creek crossing. And their house is north over the creek)
Then there is a track to walk almost all of the way from the cattle yard.
It took an hour up, and 50 minutes back. (1335, 21/4/2015)
This trig has a 'conical' cement base, with a metal pole, attachment plate, plastic pole, then semi-circular vanes; and a name plate showing Banks Rocks.
