Fernie Courthouse - Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012) - Movie Locations on Waymarking.com

With stunning views of Mount Fernie, the Fernie Courthouse was nominated as the second best building in B.C’s interior region in the BC’s 100 Best Buildings Contest in 2014. This local landmark becomes the Pineville School in this 2012 Disney Film. Only the front entrance to the building is shown, rather briefly, around 47:35.

In this scene, we see the main character Sarah Reynolds as she walks towards the school door, amidst a crowd of here peers :

Immediately before this, we see Sarah speaking with Mrs. Clause but you cannot see the courthouse building.:

:This is what the Fernie Courthouse looked like when I visited on June 18, 2015. Somewhere I have a photo of me and a friend in front of the courthouse, from my first visit to Fernie. Less that 2 years later I was back at the same court house, apply for a marriage license. That friend and I were married in Fernie in 2003 and now bring our kids there every few years to see their cousins and grandparents.

A plot summary of Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups
When Mrs. Claus travels to Pineville, the playful Santa Pups stow away on her sled. Taking mischief to a whole new level, they begin granting joyful wishes to Pineville's boys and girls, but after a furious young boy named Carter wishes for the Christmas spirit to disappear, it affects all of the people in town. Mrs. Claus, Carter, Sarah, the pups, and three sisters named Agnes, Dorothy and Blue that Mrs. Claus met try to bring the Christmas spirit back forever. They do this by airing on the radio and convincing everyone to act like normal. Carter wishes for the Christmas spirit to last forever all over the world. The pups are then able to reverse the wish.
