The bell tower of Faro Cathedral is open to the public and gives great views of the city and coast.

The bell tower is one of the few remaining parts of the cathedral after an earthquake in 1755 required the rest to be rebuilt.
Compared to some church / cathedral bell towers it is fairly short. It is still possible though to get great views of the city, and the nearby coast, and even the airport of Faro. The tower also has a telescope to give even better views for 50 cents.
The tower is also very close to the flight path of the airport and so you also get great views of the planes.

Saturday from 09: 30h to 13: 00h.
Summer: Monday to Friday: 10: 00h to 18: 00h
Saturday from 09: 30h to 13: 00.
Closed on Sunday.
Combined entrance fee to Cathedral and tower is 3 Euos with a concession price of 1 Euro 50 cents
