Tennessee State Capitol Flagpole - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 (CAA) THE STATION IS LOCATED ON CEDAR HILL ON TOP OF THE TENNESSEE STATE CAPITOL BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE. THE CAPITOL BUILDING HAS BEEN REMODELED AND THE DOME WAS DISMANTLED AND RECONSTRUCTED. THE DOME IS 220 FEET IN HEIGHT AND THE TOP OF THE FLAGPOLE IS 250 FEET IN OVER-ALL HEIGHT. THE TOP OF THE FLAGPOLE WAS THE POINT INTERSECTED.
