The memorial is a single rectangular piece of rough granite with a recessed carved section. A single metal tablet is mounted on the stone which lists the men of Clarksburg who served in WWI. Wording is limited to the years 1914 1918 embossed on the top flanking what looks like Liberty holding the words 'Mens of Clarksburg.' At the bottom of the memorial are the words 'For God and Country in the World War.'

Some of the men listed are Claude B Allen, James Browns, John D Henderson, Arthur McBride, Harry L Roy and Marion E Weld.
