An inscription at the base reads:

LATTER DAY PILGRIMS FROM MANY CULTURES AND
COUNTRIES OVER THE COURSE OF THREE CENTURIES HELPED
BUILD UPON THESE SHORES A ROBUST AND HOSPITABLE COMMUNITY

THIS TOWN, OF THEIR ADOPTION, PRECIOUS TO A GRATEFUL..."
(the rest is blocked by shrubbery)
It is dated 2001.
The artist, Barney Zeitz' webpage (

has this to say about the monument:
"The monument is over twelve feet tall. It is located in the Town of Plymouth in Brewster Gardens across from Plymouth Rock . Barney was chosen as a finalist from a drawing, and did a model as one of three finalists. He was awarded the commission, signed a contract, and started construction in February 2001. The Memorial was completed and installed in the Brewster Gardens on October 6th, 2001.
