James Barry, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ashland, WI USA - Woodmen of the World Grave Markers/Monuments on Waymarking.com

The marker for James Barry (1860 to 1902) is legible, but the way that name wraps around the "log" marker can cause a bit of confusion. I thought the name was James Barr until I tried to find it in FindAGrave, but there was only a James Barry. Only by zooming in really close to my photos could I see the Y at the end of the name, just before the "bark" starts back up. It also looks like the Y has worn more than the rest of the name; or it may have been scratched in later. (Perhaps the professional headstone maker misread the name, and someone had to make up for it by hand?)
