The following news article provides some information about the aviary (visit link) :

"Tommy West pulled up in front of the Palm Valley Aviary, which houses one white and two blue Indian peacocks. They're a less-aggressive, quieter variety of peacock, he said. So, instead of the expected screech of the beautiful iridescent birds, melodious bongs of large wind chimes suspended in a tree lend a mystical air to the exotic bird sanctuary.

"Peacocks attract the children and take their minds off things," Patricia West said.

Small surprises and found objects from Tommy West's personal collection are displayed here and there. There is an antique sugar cane grinder that he takes pleasure in demonstrating, an assortment of old bottles found on the grounds and a slip pan used to dig dirt when Florida A1A was built.

"The reason the peacocks and artifacts are here is cemeteries are more than just to inter people; they should be interesting and a factual record of history," West said. "I love to have people come into the cemetery for things other than a service.""
