From Sisters, travel generally SSW on FR16 for 7.2 miles to the junction with FR1514. Turn right and continue for 1.7 miles to the junction with FR1514-880. Turn right and continue for about 0.9 miles to the corner on the left, NW about 320' distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on galvanized iron pipe in a mound of stones; rising 5"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There is a LOCATION POSTER on FR1512-880. There is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post which bears S, 26" distant. In addition, there is an orange Carsonite witness post with a LAND SURVEY MARKER decal. The post bears N, 70" distant. Note that the corner is in thick manzanita and Ceanothus brush.


What property is this mark defining?:
Deschutes National Forest; the corner is on the Third Standard Parallel South.
