From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally W, first on US20 then ORE242, for 1.6 miles to the junction with FR15. Turn left and continue 9.5 miles to the junction with FR1526. Turn left and continue about 3.6 miles to FR1514-500. Continue on FR1514-500 for 0.8 miles to a road on the right which connects to FR1514-600. At the top of the hill turn left and continue about 0.2 mile to the corner on the right, W about 0.6 miles distant.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" aluminum cap on aluminum pipe in a mound of stones, rising 9"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There are two U-posts. One with NATIONAL FOREST WILDERNESS and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs bears E, 30" distant. The other with a NATIONAL FOREST WILDERNESS sign bears N, 70" distant. There are three reference monuments, 2" aluminum caps on 5/8" rebar, marked with LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on U-posts. Finally, a 6'x4'x4' tall boulder bears NW, about 75' distant. X BO is chiseled on the rock, there is a brass washer stamped PLS 2396 affixed with a magnetic nail and there is a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign mounted on a U-post which stands in front of the rock. Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present quarter corner bears S89.5°W from T16S R9E S19 20 29 30 COR, 2789' distant.

Deschutes National Forest; this quarter corner is also AP 120 on the Three Sisters Wilderness boundary
