This cut mark and bolt are on the High Stone obelisk that lies at the junction of Hollybush Hill and New Wanstead roads. The obelisk is a milepost and had been here since the early part of the 18th century.

The mark and bolt are both in good condition although there has been some weathering of the stone that has left the bolt proud of the stone's face. The mark is easy to locate and there is an information board, about the High Stone, close by.
