Budova sloužila v letech 1930 - 1932 jako úradovna Všeobecního penzijního ústavu. Šestipodlažní budova uzavírá blok mezi ulicemi Bayerovou a Botanickou. Budovu vytvoril architekt Emil Králík.
Od 60. let sloužila budova jako sekretariát Krajského výboru KSC, pro jehož potreby byla v roce 1986 provedena podle projektu architekta Milana Steinhausera strešní nástavba a do vnitrního traktu vestavena hmota prednáškového sálu. Po revolucním roce 1989 sloužil objekt krátce jako rektorát a Ústav výpocetní techniky Masarykovy univerzity a od roku 1993 je sídlem Nejvyššího soudu Ceské republiky.
The building served from 1930 - 1932 as the chambers of the General Pension Institute. The six-storey building closes the block between the streets and the Botanic Bayer. The building was designed by architect Emil Rabbit.
After 60 years, the building served as the secretariat of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party, the purpose of which was conducted in 1986 by architect Milan Steinhauser roof extension and to the courtyard built mass lecture hall. After the revolution in 1989 the building served briefly as the rector's office and the Department of Computer Science and since 1993 is the seat of the Czech Supreme Court.
