This park now consists of a gazebo, a parking lot, a monument to the teacher and a brick walk between the gazebo and the memorial

"To all Emma Sansom Alumni: You are all invited to an event on May 26th.,2012 There will be a parade on Wall Street (27th St) at 3pm, to kick off the event, at 4pm the city is dedicating the area where the gazabo is to be a park dedicated to Rip Reagan, after the dedication there will be a block party, Take a walk down memory lane with us, the fire station museum will be open, so will the Nichols library,or stop in the Ritz theater for video about Mr. Reagan's life,There will be bands playing, come join the fun!!!

"The sign for the park was made in Glencoe and was carried to Simmons Signs and Graphics on Hwy 77 where they powder coated it. I picked it up yesterday but it will not be installed on site until just before the dedication. The Monument is finished and also will be placed on site. I have photos of both but will not post until the after the dedication.

"Up Date on Reagan Park: the sign was installed this morning at the Park but we ask that it remained covered until the dedication . The base for the monument was put in place some days ago but the monument itself has not been brought up from Birmingham yet.

The official approval of making the space a park was granted by The City Council of the City of Gadsden
