The Buckhorn Baths were built around a natural hot spring in 1939. The motel rooms were added as traffic on nearby U.S. 60 expanded. A wildlife museum was developed and the New York Giants began using the motel as their home for Spring training in 1947. The baths closed in 1999, the motel in 2005. The age of the sign is unknown. The neon tubes are still visible but the sign, like the rest of the property is decrepit.
