Même si l'histoire écrite de Laval est vieille de plus de 400 ans, l'histoire de la Paroisse Saint-Claude est très recente. La paroisse a été fondée en 1960 et l'église a été bâti en 1965.
L'architecture de l'église est très moderne pour l'époque et elle est inluencées par le Vatican 2 (Concile Œcuménique Vatican II), une entreprise vaste de la modernisation de l'Eglise, qui a eu lieu entre 1962 à 1965. La principale implication pour les fidèles, était un changement dans lithurgie, qui s'est rapidement reflété dans la façon de construire des nouvelles églises à cette époque.

The Roman Catholic Church St.Claude is located on Meunier West Street in Laval.
Although Laval's writen history goes back more than 400 years, the history of St-Claude Parish is quite recent. The Parish was founded in 1960 and the church was built in 1965.
The church's architecture is very moderne and it's influenced by Vatican 2 (Second Vatican Ecumenical Council), a vast entreprise of the modernization of the Church, which took place between 1962 to 1965. The main implications for the faithfuls, was a change in lithurgy, which quickly reflected in the way the construction of the new churches of that time was made.
